Fall 2010 Update 4

Looks like a beautiful 1st weekend of October coming up. We are still picking apples and will have approximately 10 varieties open. Please note the following varieties are almost picked out and cannot be gauranteed to be available:
McIntosh (limited)
Macoun (limited)
Cortland (limited)
Honey Crisp (PICKED OUT)
The above are available in the farm stand all ready picked.

Pick Your Own bag sizes are 10lb and 20lb. Price is $2.00 per lb. There is no parking or entrance fee this weekend. Your bag purchase gets you into the orchard where you can fill it full, but not overfilled (e.g. not heaping, overflowing into pockets, purses, baby carraige bottoms, etc).

We are also doing pick your own pumpkins this weekend (hayride required).

Fall 2010 update 3

Fall is officially here this week! How about picking some apples? You can also come during the weekday Thur and Fri hours to avoid the weekend rush. This week (9/23 thru 26) we will be picking the following:
McIntosh - limited availabilty
Macoun - moderate availability
Cortland - moderate availabilty
Empire - opening this weekend! Plentiful.
Honey Crisp - PICKED OUT

Bag sizes available are 1o lb and 20 lb. You must purchase one of our bags before picking.

All varieties above are available in our farm store. We will be picking 5 more varieties in the coming weeks.

Pumpkin picking on weekends (hayride required).

When visiting, please obey all rules and instructions for your safety and the enjoyment of others. Also note that bees are extremely active this time of year...we cannot control this. You can help in the orchard by not dropping and crushing apples on the ground and properly disposing of your garbage. If you are alergic to bees, please be prepared. Thank you.

Fall 2010 Update 2

Apple pick your own continues this week with new varieties open! The cool nights have hastened along some ripening. We are now picking* McIntosh, Macoun, some Cortland and Honey Crisp. Also starting this weekend is pick your own pumpkins (hayride required). Pumpkins are also available at the farmstand and we still have fresh vegies, corn, apples, peaches, etc. We are also pressing our own fresh apple cider!! Try some with a fresh baked cider donut!!
